Australia is an amazing country, especially for someone who loves the ocean and nature. We saw so much diverse wildlife on our eight-month trip while searching for waves and meeting the locals. The South Coast of New South Wales is a coastline made up of national parks and dense bushland that stretches all the way to the beach. It’s littered with reefs offering heavy barrels and bowls which can draw a bit of a crowd when the conditions line up, but if one place is on then there are usually other options.

South Australia has beaches that stretch for miles, lined with white sand and crystal clear water. There are so many crazy set ups for waves and so many animals both in and out of the water. Dusty roads and wineries twist through the countryside.
Another place we traveled to was Western Australia. It continuously gets hammered by the swell, lighting up a range of waves along the coast. The water is turquoise blue and super clear and is known for being home for a range of sharks. Despite this lots of people still, surf the amazing waves it has to offer.
We met so many great people in our travels and can’t wait to come back again and share a beer over the camp fire.
