Consolidate the colors one careful move at a time until a bolt holds a full stack of the same color it locks with a satisfying clink and clears. Every level is generated from a solved state by reversing moves, so it is always solvable and never rigged to be impossible. Later boards introduce blockers to work around: rusted nuts locked in place and covered nuts whose color is hidden until the nut above is moved.
