Similar to Tennis except with more players, Volleyball is a sport in which two teams compete on a court separated by a tall net. Each team is trying to direct the ball over the net and onto the opponent’s side so that it lands on the ground. There are many varieties of volleyball like beach volleyball, snow volleyball, mini-volleyball, sitting volleyball (Paralympic sport), and some other variations.
Volleyball was invented in 1895 by William G. Morgan, a physical training teacher from the United States. The game quickly began to gain popularity and soon spread throughout the world and since 1964 volleyball has become a part of the official program of the Olympic Games. Due to the simplicity of the rules and the availability of inventory, the game has become a common entertainment and recreation. All you need to know about the basic rules is that the players of one team must direct the ball to the opponent’s side. Each side is only permitted three ball hits at most and at the same time one player cannot make two hits in a row, and players take turns serving the ball at the start of a new round.
Since we live in the era of computer technologies, volleyball can be played even at home. Although volleyball is not as popular as football, but game developers have released a lot of volleyball simulators for different gaming platforms, which are both simple 2D games with a side-view camera and 3D games with the ability to play with a third-person view.
